Change Is Constant

Monday, December 10th, 2007

There is no doubt about it - change is constant. The key to succeed in the state of constant change is that you must constantly change as well. The great news is that if you decide to make growth and learning a part of your lifestyle then preparing for change is much easier. The key is that you must realize that change comes in many forms - work skills, life skills, attitude adjustments, behaviors, etc…

Challenges of Health Wellness With Food

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Like many people, I am striving for health wellness. I’ve implemented an exercise regiment and I am attempting to eat better. The problem, however, is the cost of eating healthier. While I will not argue that the price of not eating healthier has longer-term impacts, affording healthier foods can be challenging.

For instance, in my efforts for health wellness I always searched for healthy foods to have for lunch. With an extremely busy schedule, it is not easy to pack a lunch everyday, so I buy my lunch. I was shocked to discover that I can purchase a fast food hamburger, fries, and drink for under $3.00, but I’d have to pay at least $6.00 for a healthy meal of half a sandwich and homemade soup with fresh veggies. Not to mention, if I wanted to add bottled water to the mix, I’d be adding another $1.50.

A Busy Lifestyle Can Hurt Ability to Reduce Debt

Monday, December 10th, 2007

To get rid of debt you need to discover the root cause of your debt in the first place. When you want to get rid of debt, think about how your busy lifestyle may contribute to your current situation. For instance, you pay a steep price for convenience. In my own situation, I incur expenses such as parking for work, and precooked meals because I didn’t have time to cook. I know other busy people who pay for home cleaning services, laundry services, and the list goes on. All of these expenses can take a major chuck of cash from your budget.

Building Momentum To Succeed

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Building momentum to succeed is not as difficult as you may think. This is especially true when you understand that success is nothing more than a continuous cycle of enthusiasm and discipline. Basically, momentum means the strength or force of motion towards a destination. For us, this boils down to our activity towards the attainment of our goals.

I like to think of momentum in terms of actions and activities that continue to build - just like Sonic the Hedgehog from my sons’ video games. You see, a hedgehog is known to curl up into a ball and hurl itself - starting its roll at slow speeds that builds fast to defend itself against predators.

Appreciation Is Always Appreciated

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t want to be appreciated and this is especially true in the workplace. This week my office had employee appreciation week and the motivation and energy level of the staff soared. The staff’s reaction made be appreciate simple words such as “thank you” and the impact those words can have on another person’s day.

So often, people tend to focus on the negative instead of what can be appreciated in their lives each and every day. In my opinion, appreciation helps us focus on the positives in our lives which can impact our overall disposition. In the workplace, the power of appreciation is needed more than ever.

A Smile A Day

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Smile everyday if you want a quick and easy way to improve your self image, your appearance, and people’s perception of you. A smile has a way of making us all seem more attractive, more approachable -the type of person that others want to be around. Best of all, when you smile, you improve your own disposition as well.

Think about it - who want to be around a person who looks stress, hurried, or downright grouchy. If you see a person who smiles, it has a way of lightening the moment. Therefore, be sure to take advantage of one of life’s most precious gifts - the ability to smile to touch others in a positive way. Don’t forget that you benefit as well. Just remember, one smile everyday can go a long way.

It’s Been AWhile Since I’ve Posted

Well, I’ve decided to go ahead and work on structural changes to several of my Websites/Blogs that I’ve been dying to change for quite some time.

I’ve done that. Now I’m working on re-posting my previous blog articles from two different sites.

Thank you to those of you who keep checking in for new content. It’s coming in about another week.
