Overcoming adversity is not easy.  Many times we find ourselves becoming emotionally overwhelmed – drowning in the sea of negativity.  Now, I want you to think in terms of a raging river. The current of waves moves violently down stream absorbing anything in it’s path that fights against it or attempts to defend itself. Now, think about a fragile leaf which lands in the middle of this torrid of water. The leaf flows along riding out the waves.

Adversity quotes such as this one provides excellent advice. You have to learn to flow through adversity. How do you do this? You start by practicing deep breathing exercises several times per day.  Count to ten. Deeply inhale and exhale at the same rhythm and pace. Close your eyes and focus on the good things to come. Always remember what adversity quotes elude to – adversity is a part of everyone’s life. Those who learn to flow handle the ride down stream much better than those who do not.
