Inspirational Thoughts – Obstacles Hurting Success

This funny quotes gave me a chuckle. Then, I started to ponder it . Did you know that 97% of people do NOT achieve or live the lives they want? If this doesn’t concern you – it should. Why? Because you want to be in that 3%. As it stands, the odds are not in either of our favors.

Over the years, I’ve learned that setting goals and achieving them is the key to living the life I want. You see, goals provide you with a destination, a focus, a target. I always say, “if you don’t know where you are going, you won’t know how to get there.”

Also, maybe you’ve heard the advice that finding your purpose in life and fulfilling it will make you happy? This is true; however, many people have a hard time finding their purpose. This is where setting and working your goals can help. Your goals and the steps you take to achieve them become your purpose.

Many People Do Not Set Goals:

Many people simply exists – going from day to day – drifting along according to whatever life throws their way. This was me, many years ago. For me, life was sucking me dry. I worked all day, dealt with loads of stress, and people who really got on my nerves. When I’d arrive home in the evening, I’d have dinner to prepare, kids homework to check, a husband who needed me. You get the picture. Busy, busy busy.

When all was said and done, all I wanted to do at the end of it all was vegetate in front of the television. I needed relief and working a goal held no appeal. Fortunately, that changed for me.  Setting goals and achieving goals makes  all the difference in the world.

So, if we know that goals are key, then why don’t more people set them? Brian Tracy states people often do not set goals for the following reasons:

1. They think goals are not important.
2. They don’t know how.
3. They have fear of failure.
4. They have fear of rejection.
5. They have fear of success.

When You Take Time to Think About What You Want in Life, Plan for It, and Take Action – You Feel Happier Immediately:

Would you like to be happier? Have more of a meaningful purpose in your life? Absorb the inspirational thoughts from the funny quote. The message is loud and clear. You have to act. You can achieve so much in your life. I’m also willing to bet you’d achieve more than just dandruff.

I simply ask you to take time and assess your life as it is today. Think about what you want out of life and why. Write your thoughts on a piece of paper, an index card, or program in your mobile device. Read them, carry them around, and read them so more. If you do this often enough, you should migrate towards goal setting.  So, give it a try.
