Inspirational Thoughts: Should You Kick Somebody?

blameInspirational thoughts: If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn’t sit for a month.  ~  Theodore Roosevelt.

I don’t know if you fall into this category, but there are many people who blame everything and everyone for their troubles. Never once do these people take a good hard look at themselves. Never once do they assume responsibility.

Where do you stand?

Are you man or woman enough to face your reality? Are you accountable to yourself for the current state of your life?

It’s Easy to Play the Victim

Honestly, it’s easier to blame a situation or person than it to take responsibility for your problems. But therein lies the problem. While it is true that circumstances and people influence your issues, you are still responsible for your behavior and actions. When you move the responsibility to external sources, you strip yourself of one of your most powerful internal weapons for success.

How so?

I once heard someone say, “with one exception, the world is made up entirely of other people.” Therefore, you must focus on where you have the best chance of fostering the outcomes you want. That is with YOU. When you defer to people and circumstances, you opt out – placing your fate in someone else’s hand and lessening your odds for success.

Don’t Do It!

Don’t deceive yourself into making the easy choice. Yes, it means you’ll face some discomfort. But you’ll have hope, because you’ll be more in control. Do you know what else?

You can grow and make real progress during troubling times.

Now if you’re truly uncomfortable facing yourself, then focus on the problem and issue at hand. Be sure to stay out of the “woe is me” mode and operate in the “how can I improve this?” mode.

These inspirational thoughts remind you to take control of your situation. It’s all about you which is terrific news, because you can overcome and accomplish amazing things if you so chose. It may not be easy, but you CAN do it.
