I figure like this, if you are not being true to yourself, then you’re lying to yourself and that can pose an entire set of challenges all on its own. Here’s the kicker – there are many people who feel as if they cannot be themselves. Think about it. Has this ever happened to you?
Maybe you preferred a certain style of clothes, or you allow yourself to be talked out of a hobby or career choice. Or, maybe you’re trying to adapt your behavior and personality to fit someone else’s perception of how you should be.
Whatever the case may be, your happiness depends on your willingness to be you - that wonderfully unique individual who was created with talents, skills, and a personality specifically for your purpose in this world.
When you try to deviate from that – you’ll lose your best self. Therefore:

Have you ever come across someone who seems fake? Man oh man, these types of people are something to behold. Often times, they do not seem comfortable with themselves.
There’s a saying. It goes, “the truth will set you free.” When you are willing to look yourself in the mirror and say, “yes, that’s the real me – flaws and all” then you are on the right track.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting that you never work to change yourself for the better. Of course, you always want to do that. However, you want to be careful not to try to change yourself or be something that you are not.
I’m sure you can tell the difference. One clue is that you’ll experience more contentment and happiness when you are doing what you are meant to do in life – being who you were meant to be. Remember this:
