Today’s inspirational thoughts come from the following inspirational poem that I want to share with you:
God’s Patterns
The patterns God plan
for our days are always changing
…rearranging…and each design
is unique…graced with His own
special beauty.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t always understand why we have to deal with some of the things we do in life. I used to wonder if it was cruel joke or punishment for something I’ve done wrong.
However, I’ve quickly come to realize that God has every moment of our life mapped out for us. Whether we like it or not, each experience is meant to teach us something or to help us grow and become better people in some way.
I’ll also admit that his plan scares me sometimes, because I dislike pain and hardship like most people. However; whether we like it or not, pain and discomfort are part of our plan.
It’s during the discomfort and pain when we sit up and take notice the most. It’s during these times when I’d always shrink in fear or feel sorry for myself. However, now, I try embrace the moments, and lessons, and then move on.
That’s the difference between being pitiful and powerful. When you’re pitiful, you don’t attempt to learn the lesson, you simply feel sorry for yourself and do nothing else. Sometimes, you may even give in and quit for a while.
I’ll admit that I’ve been pitiful many times in my life. But over the years, I’ve gotten better. I’ll also admit that while I seek inspiration on a regular basis, I still have lapses where I’m occasionally tired and feel sorry for myself.
Let me tell you something…..it’s okay to slip up every once in a while. After all we’re human. That’s what we do. The key, however, is to get your power going.
Powerful in the context of this post is simply dealing with what life throws your way. Will you be scared? Yes. Will you still have fears? Yes. Will you still fail at stuff? Yes.
The difference is- you’ll be powerful enough to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and keep going at life.
So….these inspirational thoughts from this inspirational poem is to remind you that you are alive for a reason. You serve some purpose in an imperfect world. That reason may or may not be clear to you. However, it doesn’t matter. Just don’t allow yourself to wallow in the down times too long. Find the power you need to pull yourself up.
Remember, your life may be not everything you want it to be, but it’s okay. Keep living your life and doing your best. God is working his plan.
