The Constant Complainer

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Today in the office, I spoke with an employee who informed me that she left her old job, because the place was full of chronic complainers and she couldn’t stand it. This person then proceeded to complain about her old workplace for the next twenty minutes. It made me think about all the complaining I’ve been doing lately about my son’s basketball coach. I was quickly reminded that misery loves company and complaining NEVER helps a situation, because it’s not constructive. At best complaining is an outlet for
penned up frustration. At worst, chronic complaining is a fast way to be labeled with a poor attitude, as well as becoming a person that others try to avoid at all costs.

However, you really need to improve your tactfulness when dealing with other. Additionally, you love humor

I Hate My Job

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

“I hate my job,” I remember saying to myself several years ago. I hated my job so bad that I ended up using at least three vacation days per month as mental health days.

Let’s face it, you have to spend the majority of your time each day earning a living. For most of us, that means working a job. When you hate your job, I believe your emotionally and mentality more vulnerable.

It’s no coincidence the Internet is filled with Websites offering money making opportunities to people who hate their jobs.  The problem is that you can become so disgusted working a job that you hate, you become impatient for change or you narrow the options available to you.
