There is an inspirational story about a man whose donkey falls into a well and hits rock bottom. Feeling all hope was lost, the man decides to bury the donkey in the well. He starts shoveling big mounds of dirt and rocks into the well.

Ironically, I believe our problems are a lot like this donkey’s. We hit rock bottom and the crap keeps piling on. It’s during times like this we feel most inclined to give up. For this reason, I want to provide you with a different perspective.

Think about a really challenging time in your life when nothing seemed to be going right. Remember how you felt? Pretty crappy right? I learned that it’s at your crappiest moment you need to take a stand. Make a choice. You can choice to keep buried under the unwanted emotions or……you can dig yourself out.

In the inspirational story of this poor donkey, guess what he did when the dirt keep coming? Even though it smack him in the face and he endured painful hits to his body…that donkey shook off the dirt and stepped up. With each painful blow, he became more determined not to buckle under the pressure of his situation. You can too.

Now I know your situation is very serious for you; however, you can make things better. No matter what you are facing, there are things you can do. Always remember, it’s how you react to your circumstances that will set the course for your future. Therefore, learn to shake off the negative feelings long enough to lift yourself up with little actions for a better tomorrow.

I’ll never tell you that things will be easy. However, in my opinion, they can get worse. You don’t want to spend your life in a negative limbo, because you’ve paralyzed yourself to the point where you’ve lost the way to making things better.

Remember, you always have a choice and it starts with a simple decision. Following are inspirational thoughts with wise words of wisdom that I’d like you to gain strength from.
